Saturday August 21, 2010 was a special Saturday in Corvallis, Oregon. In addition to the normally bustling Saturday Farmers Market Corvallis residents and visitors were treated to an old fashion style "Wheat Fleet" bringing grain to Corvallis as was done over 100 years ago. I was one of the many interested persons awaiting the arrival of the Wheat Fleet from Eugene, Oregon. The dozen or more vesssels had taken a three day journey along the Willamette River from Eugene and arrived at Michael's Landing just before 11 am Saturday.
