Monday afternoon, November 14th, at LaSells on the Oregon State University Campus a meeting took place with Campus Crest Developers, Institute for the Built Environment, and interested "stakeholders" from the Corvallis Community. This was a "process meeting", so stated Brian Dunbar from the Institute for the Built Environment. Campus Crest was represented by Co-founders Ted Rollins & Mike Hartnett as well as Andrew Young. They are heavily into "Community Relations".
Some local concerned stakeholders/citizens included property owner Ed Lepley, Ed Larson, Skip Winz (spelling) and Eleanor Griffiths. Some history on the Witham Oaks parcel. The parcel is +- 92 acres. The Friends of Witham Oaks unsuccessfully attempted to purchase this parcel of land from Bank of America. Legend Homes at one time had planned to build on this site until the housing slowdown forced Legend Homes into bankruptcy.
