Words are important, words have meaning! Sometimes the fewest words have the most meaning! So is the case for the words used by Corvallis City Manager, Jim Patterson, to the Economic Development Commission on Monday at their regularly scheduled meeting.

Corvallis has been and continues to struggle with finances, simply stated, balancing the budget, and not on the backs of the taxpayers! City Manager Jim Patterson, a member of the audience, addressed questions from the Economic Development Commission regarding what might be expected as a response to the "plan" submitted by the Commission to Corvallis City Council and recently adopted by Corvallis City Council. The Commission was essentially 'taking the temperature' of what they might expect as immediate actions from City Government.
